In an industry that prefers to complicate, we strive to keep financial advice as simple as possible. The “Ockham Razor” principle states the simplest explanation is usually the best one. Finance need not be complicated - quite the opposite.

Our investment portfolios are designed to target competitive returns. Our principal benchmark for measuring portfolio returns is the PIMFA Private Investor Index Series. The series consists of five composite indices designed to represent the weightings and show returns of selected multi-asset class strategies. The indices include weightings of equities, bonds, real estate, cash and alternative investments. These indices are used as benchmarks to compare the performance of portfolios that have investment objectives similar to the strategy represented in the respective index.

Arcturus the star

Arcturus's name comes from the Greek words for "bear guard" because it's almost in a direct line with the tail of Ursa Major, the Great Bear. The name Arcturus is Latinised from the ancient Greek ἀρκτοῦρος (arktouros) and means "Guardian of the Bear", ultimately from ἄρκτος (arktos), "bear" and οὖρος (ouros), "watcher, guardian".

The fourth brightest star in the night sky, and 36.7 light-years from Earth, Arcturus is located in the constellation Boötes, downwards from the handle of the Plough constellation. It’s among the few stars mentioned in the Bible - “Which maketh Arcturus, Orion and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south” – Job 9:9, KJV. Just remember the phrase ‘follow the arc to Arcturus and then speed on to Spica’.
